DESCRIPTIONThis role can be based in one of our offices in London, Munich, Paris, Milan, Luxembourg, Madrid or Barcelona.Amazon is looking for an experienced, customer-focused analytical leader to join the EU Fashion Team.As the Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager, you will own defining and executing a Supply Chain Roadmap with several of our most loved brands in Fashion.
You will collaborate with a team of Product and Programs managers and Brand Specialists to drive operational process improvements for the vendors with a goal of maximizing product availability and executional excellence.In this critical role, you will help redefine Supply Chain to align it with Amazon procurement systems and bring collaboration with strategic Fashion vendors to the next level.
You will be involved in all aspects of vendor operations management and Supply Chain optimization.
In this role, you need to be able to lead and influence both internal stakeholders as well as our vendors in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.Key job responsibilitiesKey areas of focus include identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning, optimizing end-to-end supply chain integration with a goal of reducing waste and carbon emissions.
You will analyze production and delivery lead-times and operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations and fulfillment, efficient receive process, and inventory placement.
This role enables you to 'hit the ground running' and make a transformational impact on how we manage supply chain in one of the most exciting businesses.A day in the lifeAs the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate ownership of supply chain efficiencies and play a critical role in helping Amazon build, manage, and optimize a complex procurement system that continues to evolve and expand.
You will analyze metrics and be involved with all aspects of operational vendor management.
You must be highly organized, self-starting, highly analytical, and able to thrive in a high-energy environment.
Ideally, you will bring several years of experience in supply chain and/or operations consulting.About the teamThis position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon's current flexible work guidance.
Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSSeveral years supply chain, inventory management and/or project management experienceExperience in working with computer databases and complex data setsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsLeading process improvement with the help of techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six SigmaDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning, and task delegationStrong written and oral communicationExperience in building and managing partnerships with vendors and/or external customers up to an executive levelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFluency in languages including German, Spanish, Italian, or French will be beneficialBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or Supply ChainConsulting background in one of the areas: supply chain, inventory management, partner managementFamiliarity with statistics or other analytical techniquesExcellent business judgment, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
