Job Purpose With result from growing our engineering department for the new office located in Montevarchi (Arezzo) we are looking for Senior Software Engineer . As a Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to architect, build and maintain all the software artifacts involved in the EV (Electric Vehicle) charging process, spanning from prototype development to production releases. You will have the possibility to put your expertise at disposal of all company's projects and also the opportunity to enrich your knowledge about standards, technologies and trends in energy storage and EV charging expanding markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Architect, build and maintain software artifacts part of company portfolio Ensure the development of high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design Collaborate with other team members to ensure code quality Solve technical problems and propose innovative solutions Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in software development Work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively Participate in peer discussions on architecture and overall application development direction Lead mid or junior resources, mentor them and help them in their career growth Qualifications BSc/MD in Computer Science Engineering or similar fields Highly proficient in writing Java standalone applications; proficiency with languages like Python and C/C++ will be considered as a plus At least 5 years experience with Spring Boot, to both consume third parties APIs and build REST services Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies, architectural pattern and development tools; paast experiences with Azure DevOps tools will be considered as a plus Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL DBMS; past experience with MongoDB will be consierd a plus Good knowledge of real-time communication protocols, like Web Socket and MQTT; the knowledge of gRPC is considered as a plus Good knowledge of Git Knowledge of containerization mechanisms; Docker is a must Basic understanding of EV charging standards, like ISO 15118, OCPP and Plug&Charge, and upper layers protocols, like OCPI, is not required but very welcome General Job Requirements Generic EnerSys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
