Who will you be working with? You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways. There is a new development team in Piossasco, dedicated to strengthening the portfolio of tram projects.
How will you make a difference? As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
IP network configurations and protocolsDatabasesReal time audio and video streamingDevices diagnostics and updatesCompatibility to 3rd party devicesCyber security requirementsWhat will your typical day look like? Design module and framework extensions with OO methodsDefine tasks and work packagesDevelop, test and document your codeMaintain and enhance build systemsConfigure and integrate ANNAX software and Linux servicesAnalyze issues and fix bugsApply cyber security rulesEvaluate and elaborate new technologiesWhat do we want to know about you? Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar+5 years experience with C++Professional knowledge of Linux, Embedded Linux, IP networksOther skills: Python, Unit Testing, UML, SQL databasesDocumentation with doxygen, sphinx and plantumlAdministration of code with svn, git, gitlabKnowledge in DevOps methodologies and toolings (gitlab CI/CD, terraform, ansible) and containerization technologies is a plusProfessional EnglishWorks well independentlyExcited about distributed systems and having fun with themAvailable to travel occasionallyLegal authorization to work in EU is required.
