The Role Our Sales Grocery Team ensures the onboarding of the most relevant Grocery Retailers in the Italian market that are not currently working with Deliveroo. As our business continues to scale, we become a major revenue channel for Grocery Partners by providing best-in-class support and using data-driven insights and industry knowledge to drive our partner's growth.
What you'll be doing: Pitch and close grocery partnerships with relevant players in the territory using a proactive approach and a variety of communication channels (cold calls, visits, and in-person meetings). Manage your portfolio of leads to ensure strong conversion rates and exceed ambitious volume and quality targets. Lead the end-to-end sales cycle with potential grocery partners through strategic negotiations. Ensure a smooth integration process when bringing a partner onboard, from registration to operational launch. Support the wider commercial team with ad-hoc strategic initiatives like field pitch days and marketing roll-outs. Skills & Requirements: 7-10 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in groceries/retail or FMCG. Self-driven with a proven sales record and an appetite for scaling your portfolio. Strong communication skills, whether face-to-face, through phone, or email. Perseverance and grit – you're not afraid of rejection. Competitiveness – you'll be working within a highly efficient team.
