Senior Sales Manager for Digital Grid About the Role Location: Italy, Milano (Hybrid: Remote/Office) Company: Siemens Energy Organization: Grid Technologies Business Unit: Sales Full / Part time: Full-time Experience Level: Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day: In this role, you will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the Digital Grid (DG) portfolio within the Grid Technology sales (GT S) area.
You will be accountable for executing the company's strategy, developing a strategic plan for regional opportunity pipeline generation, budget plans, and revenue generation.
You will act as a loudspeaker and multiplier in the existing sales organization and be the single point of contact between GT S and DG.
How You'll Make an Impact: Interact with potential partners, power transmission (TSOs), electric distribution companies (DSOs), Renewables and IPP developers, EPCs.
Identify strategic areas and grow the business, including identifying potential partners, under the mentorship and direction of Digital Grid.
Drive marketing activities, e.g., fairs, conferences, promotions, etc.
Actively collect and interpret customer feedback and conduct win/loss analysis to derive lessons learned.
Leverage SalesForce and other reporting tools to ensure transparency and tracking of Sales Funnel development.
Manage the pipeline and prioritize vertical/market approach.
Prepare and participate in Monthly Business Reviews with regional management and DG organization.
What You Bring: 5+ years of working experience in the power transmission and distribution area, ideally with experience in the Protection and Control domain.
Preferably a graduate of Electrical Engineering.
Extensive experience in promoting and selling HV/MV solutions and related digital offerings.
Good knowledge of high medium voltage applications, power transmission distribution systems, power electronics, renewable generation, power system planning development, and power systems modeling.
Knowledge of the Grid Automation industry, including market space, competitors, and market trends.
Understanding of customer needs in relation to the analysis of electrical power systems, network planning, and grid development at all stages of their project lifecycle.
Extensive customer network in Utilities, Industries, and Renewable Energy fields.
Customer relationship management and partnership management experience.
Must have an extensive client base network.
Sales and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritize issues/challenges, be creative (proposing alternatives), and adjust tempo according to actual circumstances of time and workload.
Team working and result-oriented.
Presentation and communication skills.
Excellent oral and written English and Italian.
