To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date at our location in Milano:Senior Property Underwriter (m/f/d)Job DescriptionUnderwriting of profitable business in accordance with MSIGEU standards, processes, Rules and Principles, instructions and authorities, such as:risk analysis, rating tool/premium calculation, compilation of data for referrals, preparation of tenders as well as negotiationsexamination and negotiation of wordingsbinding of new business and preparation of relevant information to be transferred to Underwriting Assistant's Dept. in order to finalise data booking in the correct wayparticipation in meetings and individual appointments with clientspreparation of proposals (referral's processes) regarding underwriting decision (beyond authority)monitoring the portfolio regarding commercial requirementsportfolio management, profitability control and, if necessary, implementation of corrective measuresadapting underwriting strategy, risk appetite and pricing policyability on determination of reinsurance requirements in close cooperation with Head of PropertyWorking and liaising with Claims Dept. to improve the underwriting process.Supporting the Head of Property and all others Underwriters in all relevant activities.Planning of business development, action to expand new and existing business.Providing an efficient service to Clients and Brokers.Participation on strategy discussion (internal/external).Special tasks (e.g. developing new products jointly with the Head of Property).QualificationEngineering or Business Economics or Law Degree.Several years' professional experience in Underwriting or handling Property Business.Experience on Power and Utilities operational business (including renewable energies) is a plus.High ability to think analytically and systematically.High level of self-motivation and resilience.Ability to work under pressure.Ability to cooperate and a team player.Good organisational skills.Ability to think and act entrepreneurially along with decision-making capability.Confident handling of common MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.).Good knowledge of English language.Why MSIGEU?We offer you a secure job with interesting tasks in a trusting working atmosphere with nice colleagues as well as:
