Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project QC Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week. However, International mobility is essential in the context of the business. The Role You will liaise with the Construction Quality Control Manager and engineering team, providing support in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting on the status of Construction QC management systems and deliverables.

Plan, develop and execute quality programmes in compliance with contract/project execution and quality plan arrangements. Set-up and population of completion and turnover database. Prepare and maintain quality plans/specifications to meet contractual requirements. Maintain documentation and deployment of Wood Quality Management Systems. Assist in the quality review and approval of product/material requisitions. Review subcontractor Quality Management Systems, quality plans and ITP's, documentation and records ensuring they meet stated requirements. Assist in the management and analysis of Non-Conformances and corrective action data. Support the creation and review of tender packages and proposals. Attend Kick-off meetings (both remotely and on site) and establish how defined quality requirements will be implemented. Promote the awareness of quality principles through targeted communication, education, and training. Support lessons learned and continuous improvement processes. Assist implementation of local management reviews and reporting of metrics and KPI's. Please see below the requirements that we typically seek for the position. Expected: Graduate in Engineering or technical diploma. Minimum of 5 years previous Quality experience (preferably in relevant industry equivalent). Field experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Availability to travel and to be present on site. Fluent in English. Desirable: Knowledge of Construction Quality Control Systems. Familiarity with completion and turnover management process. Quality Auditor qualification by recognized industry body.
