About this roleAs Project Manager you are responsible and accountable of the governance of specific EPCI Project initiatives characterized by a maximum degree of business risk in terms of financial aspects, organizational, technological and contractual complexities.What you will doBe focal point for all project activities and retain the final responsibility for the execution of the Project.
You represent the company towards the client and resolve all issues related to the implementation of project activities.Direct and manage all aspects of multi-discipline projects from inception through completion.Define and control base line scope, program and allowances in line with change management procedures.Prepare the project execution plan in accordance with the Company Business operating procedures and specific client/contract requirements.Ensures the development and the revision of the Project Execution Plan, monitor the progress of the project phases, in accordance with the scheduled times and the cost and quality estimates and objectives.Define the policies and processes for clear communication to all parties involved in the project.Manage the preparation and regular update of the project program against which project deliverables are monitored and controlled.Establish a budget; monitor the costs against the budget, identify and implement remedial actions in case of overrun; report the results on regular base.Ensure the correct allocation of the resources necessary for carrying on and completing the project.Ensure that the level of performance is in accordance with the contract specifications, that the costs fall within the estimate limits, and that the execution time of the project phases progress as set down in the contract.Initiate and review engineering design, procurement, manufacturing/ production operations and field activity to ensure compliance with project specifications.Manage all contract negotiations with the client, including additional work and variations.Undertake any necessary actions with the Client with regards to payments in the event of disputes or anomalous delays.Who you are5+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager within the energy, oil & gas or construction sector of a multinational company;Previous work experience with EPCI projects and experience gained at working sites;Master's Degree in Engineering or similar related Degrees;Strong negotiation skills, team working abilities and excellent leadership and influencing skillsSpecific knowledge of submarine cable and offshore operations will be considered as a plus;Proven track record of delivery and a track record of achieving results through people in a matrix delivery team;Effective leadership and communications skills, projecting competence and credibilityStructured and methodical, detailed conscious plannerWillingness to challenge the status quo and adopt innovative delivery mechanisms;Preferably a member of the Association for Project Management, Prince 2 Practitioner, PMI equivalent or PPM accredited;Fluency in English and availability to travel frequently.What we offerA role where you can make an impact from day oneCollaboration within a diverse and passionate team that values innovation.
