Role Definition Reporting to the Project Director (PD) based in Milan HQ, the resource will: Continuously interface with the Client, actively participating in project management weekly and monthly meetings.
Prepare monthly progress reports, minutes of meetings, and lookahead programmes.
Prepare project documentation as required (e.g., Communication Plan, Stakeholder Plan, Interface Plan, License/Permits Plan, Risk Register, etc.).
Act as the main interface with the Permitting Manager, participate in meetings with Land Owners, Authorities, Asset Owners, and follow-up on any actions needed to obtain permits on time.
Ensure a Permits obtainment schedule is in place and properly monitored.
Update the Project Actions Tracker Register and follow-up on any actions dealing with the relevant Function.
Be familiar with the Master Document Register and follow-up on the documentation review cycle with the Customer and Marine Warranty Surveyor, guaranteeing timely documentation readiness.
Participate in the bidders' section and preparation of the documentation package required for the bidding phase.
Manage project subcontractors involved in activities such as cable landfall assistance, HDD construction, civil works, and marine survey.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations, championing a safety-first culture.
Collect Lessons Learnt.
Qualifications and Experience Master's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Project Engineer for a major Oil & Gas EPC Contractor or Civil Contractor, preferably involved in projects comprising engineering, procurement, and installation of HV cables both onshore and offshore.
Familiarity with the procurement process and technical bid evaluation of bidders' proposals.
Experience in the preparation of engineering and project management documentation.
Experience with permits and consent management processes.
Experience in managing interfaces between different Contractors working within the same Worksite.
Experience in supplier and subcontractor management.
Key Experience Preferably 2-3 years of experience on-site supervising construction civil works.
Experience working on projects with Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) or Scottish & Southern Electricity Network (SSEN).
Good knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Grid Electricity Transmission Design Management Requirements, and BS 5975 Temporary Works Procedure.
