SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL DEGREE Location: Genoa, Italy
Salary: EUR 50.000 - 70.000
To enforce our Project Execution team (in Italy and more generally related to the EMEA area).
Your main duties will include Project Execution tasks in various projects and stages from sales proposal to execution projects.
Working side by side with project teams also in a leadership position to execute project duties in the most efficient way, including typically:
Feasibility studies Lender and owner's engineering Engineering advisory service Various coordination tasks Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a university degree in Electrical/Energetic Engineering, is fluent in English as well as Italian. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or German are a plus. The candidate should have competencies in electrical power systems for thermal power plants and renewables (in particular wind and solar), HV substations, transmission lines, battery energy storage systems, grid codes, and energy markets.
The following specialized skills will be appreciated:
Knowledge of basic design for generators and transformers, including tests and fault analysis Ability to perform cost evaluation for electrical systems including HV substations and HV connections (overhead lines, underground cables) Ability to perform, manage, and check calculation reports (load flow and short circuit, stability studies, earthing system, lightning system, insulation coordination, protection selectivity and setting) Deep knowledge of the Italian grid code from both a technical (including detailed attachments e.g., A3, A17, A68, A79 etc.) and bureaucratic (e.g., application of grid connection and subsequent steps) perspective Deep knowledge of Italian standard CEI 0-16 (including new requirements about CCI) Ability to perform site surveys in HV substations and power plants Ability to manage detailed design activities (e.g., arrangement of HV substations, transformers and switchgear rooms, cables and cable ways, earthing, lighting, lightning) through external engineering companies Ability to check detailed engineering documents (protection trip matrix for generators, transformers and HV system, schematic diagrams, functional control diagrams, protection setting tables) Ability to write and check tender specifications for electrical systems and technical purchase specifications for electrical components The candidate is also able to learn and use engineering software tools, run simple economic models, and write professional reports. The candidate has excellent engineering and analytical skills, convincing written communication, and is able to work under pressure in national or international teams.
