Description:
Design authority for an engineering discipline with medium - high complexity. Complete assignments on projects,
cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities: Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments; Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning design, site survey, purchasing and site activities; Manage the project documentation within one's scope of deliverables; Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials,
estimated engineering hours, deliverables list, specification for vendor purchasing, etc.); Support Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.); Provide quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract; Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks; Create work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost; Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions; Complete risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility; Report any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution; Assist customers on technical issues, interact with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables; Assist communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings; Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated
and agreed on with potential suppliers; Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services; Support Tender Team and Managers in checking customer requests, issuing deliverables list, validating project planning,
consolidating material requests and BoM, confirming cost impacts, time impacts, risk quantifications, etc. (as per scope of work); Use standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility; Ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements; Report processes and tools inefficiencies and suggest improvement ideas; Assign tasks to and coordinate work with entry level engineers, technicians, administrative staff; Ability to have 360 degrees understanding of project, with aptitude to be proactive on technical discussion and suggestion,
improvement proposal, problems mitigations; Lead the relevant team on technical aspect of activities; Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for
your colleagues, and the business. Your background: Bachelor/master's degree in civil (structural) Engineering;
Fluent in English (excellent command) & Italian;
Able to work with different and multiple stakeholders, proven expertise in coordination of projects and people;
Proven experience of 5 years in high voltage substations or power plants project engineering in EPC business;
Strong computer literacy (MS Office, Autodesk and BIM software);
Organizational skills; Sense of responsibility & reliability;
Able to communicate clearly and clear-thinker;
Able to set priorities and communicate effectively with all the various stakeholders during all the step of the projects;
Planning and deliverables management as main working tools;
Strong problem-solving aptitude with good decision-making skills.
