Leap29 - Senior Project Development Manager Leap29 have partnered with a top European IPP exploring Solar PV, agrivoltaics, green hydrogen and BESS initiatives across Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Our client is recruiting a Senior Project Development Manager to oversee all areas of project development for utility scale Solar opportunities in Italy, including managing and optimising the development of multiple projects (greenfield and/or already partially developed) into a fully developed project with the aim to achieve the Ready to Build status within agreed timeline and budget.
Responsibilities: Set budget and time plan. Manage the project to secure good quality within budget and time plan. Set a development strategy for the project in order to optimize the development depending on the project conditions. Manage risks throughout the project in order to act proactively and secure a project that is constructible and attractive to the market. Manage 2 Junior Project Development Managers. Manage and procure services from external consultants and lawyers. Secure relevant permits for the project (Environmental Permit, Building Permit etc.) until achievement of Ready to Build status. Secure Grid Conditions and a Grid Connection Agreement with the connecting utility. Secure land access together with the Land scooter in the project team. Stakeholder Management – Set a communication plan and secure good relationships with concerned stakeholders such as Municipality, County Administrative Board, Authorities, local associations, residents, and landowners. Conduct Due Diligence for development related matters during an acquiring process. Be up to date with relevant legislation working closely with the internal Legal Counsel. Be up to date with the market in general and especially any surrounding projects to your projects. Always seek opportunities for new projects. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager in the renewable energy sector, preferably within the PV sector. Minimum a bachelor's degree, most likely in engineering, environmental science/law or any other related area. Team player with a delivery-oriented mindset that can handle parallel workstreams while managing budget and time plan. An adaptable mindset, good problem-solving ability and ability to build relationships due to ever-changing conditions and the need to communicate with a variety of stakeholders. Leadership and management team experience. Fluent in Italian and in English. Good skills with the MS Office package in general.
