Statkraft in Italy has been present since 2020 with almost 100 colleagues in our offices in Milan, Genoa, Rome, Bari or working remotely in other locations across the Country, contributing to the energy transition.
We are looking for two experienced and enthusiastic Senior Project Developers to join our Development team in Statkraft Italy.
As a Senior Project Developer , you will proactively develop Statkraft's business in Italy in line with the company targets and be responsible for making a direct impact in the company's commercial growth, profitability, and strategic direction. This position requires regular travel within Italy.
You will work in a well-established project development team, managing projects based in South of Italy (mainly in Puglia, Campania, Basilicata ).
Your role:
Support for scouting and originating new projects, including site and project technical due diligence and executing land agreements.
Manage the development process for secured projects throughout all main phases: origination, land agreements, project design, permit application, and post-authorization up to Ready to Build (RtB).
Coordinate activities from Irrevocable Permit to shovel-ready status, including managing planning discharges.
Monitor and coordinate the development of the Statkraft project portfolio, interacting with all supporting departments for wind, solar, and storage projects up to RtB status.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including development partners, public authorities, landowners, and external advisors.
Coordinate different work-streams with other internal departments (e.g., Commercial, Engineering, Legal, Procurement).
Ensure economic viability of projects/pipeline opportunities and manage respective approval processes.
Define and monitor development budget and manage costs and project economics.
Understand and develop knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, and support schemes.
Your profile:
Deep understanding of the Italian development process across renewable energy technologies, including knowledge of associated business development costs.
Solid Project Management skills and experience.
Knowledge of the electricity market in Italy, including merchant and PPA.
Understanding of the grid connection process and interaction with grid operators.
Demonstrated knowledge of solar/wind/storage technology and main equipment costs.
Experience working within an international corporate environment with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in both Italian and English .
