Position Summary We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer – ME assembly for our Lainate (MI) plant.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: New product introduction, including device preparation, prototype setup, assembly line preparation, and documentation preparation.
Assembly line transfer.
RTM smooth & continuous process improvement.
New manufacturing technology introduction.
Essential Responsibilities Effectively cooperate with product designer to optimize product design and validation.
Lead new assembly line build-up according to product requirements by lean thinking.
Cooperate with quality engineer to address Quality Complaints and Customer audits in project early stages.
Operator training: orientation training and training for new employees.
New manufacturing technology research and development.
Be responsible for process documentation preparation and review, such as build reports, process flowcharts, process maps, PFMEA, work instructions, etc.
Be responsible for sample builds.
Assembly line specific parts concept design; be responsible for new production line running smoothly and ramping up in time.
Responsible for productivity and capacity improvement, including manpower, line balance, and assembly line layout optimization.
Responsible for assembly line transfer, including device, technology, and documentation.
Process capability analysis, continuous process improvement, and optimization, such as WIP reduction, product failure mode analysis, and production yield improvement.
Position Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE: 4+ years' work experience as a process engineer.
Good assembly device debugging skills.
Familiarity with mechanical design and assembly processes.
Familiarity with molding, stamping, and plating processes (preferred).
Familiarity with automatic control, laser, and ultrasonic applications (preferred).
Familiarity with Robot technology and vision experience (preferred).
OTHER TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION/SPECIFIC COMPETENCY: Familiarity with IE tools, such as 5W1H, Poka Yoke, motion analysis, line balancing analysis, and Kaizen activities, including PDCA cycle, 7 steps, 5S, Standardized Work, ECRS, Process Mapping, etc.
Familiarity with office software (MS Office, AutoCAD).
Basic knowledge in TS 16949.
Lean experience (preferred).
Familiarity with 3D software (preferred).
Others: Strong learning and innovation thinking.
Good skills in communication and conflict handling.
Open-minded and self-motivated.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including English and Italian.
