Senior Postdoctoral Researcher – Climate Modeling: The Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate of the Italian National Research Council (CNR-ISAC) is inviting applications for a senior postdoc position within its climate modeling group in Torino. The successful candidate will contribute to various modeling activities, including paleoclimatic studies, subseasonal forecast system development, and km-scale climate simulations within the Destination Earth Climate Adaptation Digital Twin project. Degree in physics, astrophysics, engineering, informatics PhD in a relevant field Two years of postdoc experience Experience with numerical climate models Climate data analysis skills Experience in diagnostics development and/or in present and past climate variability (welcome but not required) Coding skills in Fortran, Python, and other languages (R, Julia, etc.) Version control experience (git) Experience in HPC environments Job Description: The selected candidate will participate in both the scientific and technical aspects of the climate modeling group's activities. This includes contributing to climate model development, conducting climate simulations, developing new diagnostics, and analyzing climate run outputs across various projects. The position offers the opportunity to carry out individual research lines within the broader scope of the group's work.
Salary Level: €1900 per month (net)

Contract Length: 12 months (with the possibility of renewal on other group projects)
