The Strategy and Policy Directorate undertakes projects that develop policy, practice and capability to drive continual improvement for disaster recovery in WA.Our team of Senior Policy and Project Officers manage our busy portfolio of projects including policy development, research, learning programs and stakeholder engagement.
This position will have a focus on the improvement of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes and capability for recovery programs, but will also engage in other projects within the team and in recovery operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of a state framework for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning in recovery.Monitor and advise on the progress and delivery of recovery plans, programs, and funding, including coordination of evaluation activities and lessons management as required.Undertake other assigned projects and tasks, including preparation of a range of written documents.Provide strategic advice and support within the business and to external recovery partners.Facilitate consultation and engagement and represent the Department with external stakeholders.When required, activate to support communities in recovery including needs analysis, planning of recovery programs and deployment if required.The recovery environment can be fast-paced and dynamic.
