Position & Context
The Senior Plant Controller in Novi Ligure plant is part of the European Financial Planning & Analysis organization and reports to the SC FP&A EMEA Manufacturing Manager.
The candidate will be responsible to ensure a sustainable P&L of the factory, in compliance with group policies and practices, by supporting the local management in planning and monitoring costs and results, providing them with financial advice and performing ad hoc analysis with a specific focus on continuous improvement and cost containment.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
He will take the full responsibility of Novi Ligure plant P&L, strictly cooperating with the SC Europe FP&A Management and the Plant Director to define and implement solid controlling measures within the biggest production site across the group.
The main tasks will be:
Definition and management of the financial plant forecasts (Budget, Revised Budget) liaising with each team leader from the different departments in the site.Preparation and execution of required month-end closing activitiesDevelop and maintain a loss tree analysis at plant level and identify areas to be attacked.Collaborating to define clear accountabilities and responsibilities into the plant management by identified lossContribute to the plant continuous improvement process supporting SC functionsMapping of relevant productivity initiatives, dealing with SC in order to make it sustainableElaboration of periodic reporting and statistics both for Plant Director and Regional/Group StakeholdersSpread a controlling rather than an accounting mindset through the plant management to support the decision-making processVariance analysis vs targets, collaborating to identify the root causes of deviations and monitoring corrective actions status.Process mapping and end-to-end impact analysis from COGP perspective.Support the development of economic and operational analyses contributing to the decision-making processes.Asset management control; financial evaluation of capital expenditure projectsManagement of administrative tasks/services of the plant within SAP environment.Business cases design and evaluation.Suggest improvement actions on plant management processes and organizational procedures.Ensuring regular information flows between Plant and Administration functions.Evaluate all plant transactions according to accounting procedures.Contribute to various key projects as the FP&A representative.
Education and Experience
Minimum 8 years of proven industrial controlling experience preferably in a multinational FMCG Company.Planning & Analysis experience within Finance & Controlling departments;Must be familiar with working in a matrix organization.Experience in working on challenging projectsDegree in Economics or EngineeringStrong knowledge of SAP (focus on MM, CO, PP, PM modules) and BWPowerBi knowledge is a plus
