Our Founder and CEO is a successful entrepreneur who previously co-founded a green energy supplier. We have robust pipelines of BESS projects across the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany - and strong financial backing. Our most recent fundraise was a £200 million investment from DIF Capital Partners. This will support our mission to grow internationally, and ultimately to build and develop a robust global BESS portfolio.

Your Mission The Senior Permitting Project Manager role is critical to the development of Field's UK pipeline of battery energy storage system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, taking projects from concept design phase through to construction.
Assisted by in-house design, grid, land and legal teams, you will lead projects through the consenting phase. You will be responsible for all elements of project management required to successfully deliver a pipeline of ready-to-build projects ready for handover to construction.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to have massive impact. Key responsibilities include:
Project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, including:Leadership and coordination of core project team comprising design, grid and landCreation and ongoing management of project programmesBudget and risk managementReporting and escalationManagement of planning application process for greenfield projects, including:Management of external environmental and planning consultants to deliver all assessments needed to support a planning applicationManagement of external consultants to deliver site investigations and surveys to inform site designWorking with in-house design team to collate technical site information and act as Principle Designer to develop site specific designs suitable for planningStakeholder engagement with key statutory consultees, landowners and community engagementSupport the construction team on projects in the pre-construction phase, including:Submission of planning amendments and discharge of pre-commencement conditionsSecuring any additional consents and permitsLandowner liaison and fulfilment of any Option/lease requirements Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA bit about you You have excellent project management skills - we act fast and delivering projects to programme is critical, so you'll need to have proven drive and project management skills.You're a great leader who can work autonomously to lead a team. You know how to get people motivated, aligned and delivering.You have good attention to detail to deliver plans, designs and technical assessments to a very high standard.You're an open, clear communicator capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.You're a team player who enjoys working collaboratively. You will be responsible for coordinating input from a lot of teams, including external consultants.You're enthusiastic, curious and knowledgeable about the energy storage industry.The skills you'll need 4+ years experience in the project development and consents, ideally within the renewable energy industry.Project management skills, including experience in programme, budget and risk management.Strong understanding of consenting regimes within the UK, including environmental assessments.Experience in managing a project team and leadership skills.Experience of managing external consultants and stakeholder engagement.BESS experience and working electrical and/or civil engineering experience desired but not essential.
