Jefferson Wells is looking for a Senior Operations Manager - Pharmaceutical Logistics Our client deals with import/export and distribution of any type of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical product and is by all means a one-stop supplier able to supply brand name drugs (branded) and equivalent (generic), for human and veterinary use.
Job Description As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our logistics operations related to pharmaceutical products.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of medications and medical supplies from manufacturing facilities to distribution centers and ultimately to healthcare providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize pharmaceutical logistics operations, including distribution network design, transportation management, and inventory optimization.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive performance excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for pharmaceutical products.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains throughout the logistics supply chain, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.
Supplier Management: Collaborate with key suppliers and service providers to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless integration of logistics services.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with pharmaceutical logistics operations, including supply chain disruptions, product recalls, and regulatory compliance issues.
Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure and track operational performance, analyzing data and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve targets and objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, fostering collaboration and cross-functional teamwork to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
