Open Source (OSS) Analyst is part of the Open Source Security team.
The team oversees Hitachi Energy's central OSS approval process and acts as a link between developers, management, legal, the open source community, and the tool vendor.
The team's main responsibility is to detect and mitigate potential risks related to OSS components.Tasks:Deliver code assessment and analysis to determine compliance with OSS licenses.Support legal and product teams in their mitigation efforts.Enhance the toolchain to increase automation.Operationalization of SBOM.Act as a consultant in OSS-related matters for Hitachi Energy teams worldwide.Keep current with the state of the art of open source and technology trends.Requirements (must have):Practical knowledge of Black Duck Hub.Extensive knowledge of open source (licenses, contributions to open source projects).Extremely high attention to detail and ability to verify own work.Ability to efficiently search data in multiple sources, analytical skills, and solution-seeking attitude.Very good written and spoken English.Good communication skills.Strong cultural awareness, interest in working with different cultures.Bachelor or Master degree (with a background in software engineering preferred).Additional Assets (nice to have):Ability to review and understand others' source code.Understanding of programming principles.Exposure to and affinity with software license agreements and legal consequences.Experience with Finite State tool.We offer:Work in a company that is employee-oriented and values team spirit and employee development.Attractive salary based on your experience and skills.Friendly work environment.Job type: Full timeExperience: ExperiencedJob function: IT, Telecom InternetContract: RegularPublication date: 2024-11-26Reference number: R0062890About Hitachi EnergyHitachi Energy is a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
