Accountabilities
Definition of Networking and PA-PIS architecture documents Development of networking requirements according to the different market and projects Preparation of the networking test specifications Support for the vehicle functional tests Required Skills/ Knowledge
Experience in the railway industry with the role of Network Systems Engineer is preferred. Knowledge of the main protocols (VLAN STP VTP) relating to the on-board vehicle network in the railway business Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.) Knowledge of the networking systems and the main architecture implemented in the railway field is required, in order to manage, throughout the life cycle of the product and with an interdisciplinary approach, the design activities, development and functional integration of the subsystems of railway vehicle platforms, with particular reference to the topics of architecture, functions and vehicle performance, from the design phase to the final validation phase and analysis of feedback from the field. Recommended knowledge of static and dynamic Routing protocols (OSPF EIGRP RIP) MYSQL Linux Knowledge of the IBM DOORS requirements management tool Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the aptitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas. Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment. Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required. Availability for short-term national and international business trip. Desired Skills/ Knowledge
Ability to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working. Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis. Degree in Telecommunication Engineering (or equivalent).
Languages
Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
