Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer Location: Naples, Italy Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Contract Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer with expertise in helicopter interior design to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using CATIA V5 and should be proficient in 3D Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FTA). Additionally, knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) software, particularly SmarTeam, is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of helicopter interiors, ensuring designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Utilize CATIA V5 to create, modify, and validate 3D models of components and assemblies.
Apply 3D Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FTA) to ensure accurate representation and analysis of mechanical designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management, to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Manage product data within the SmarTeam PDM system, ensuring efficient organization, storage, and retrieval of design files.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
Support project documentation, including design reviews, technical reports, and product specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in mechanical design, with a focus on helicopter interiors or aerospace applications.
Proficiency in CATIA V5, including advanced modelling and FTA.
Hands-on experience with SmarTeam for product data management.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
