This role is office based in Milan 4 days per week.
Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company's Direct to Consumer video entertainment service.
Launched within the EMEA region in 2019, it includes long and short form content from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
Since then, it has expanded to include general entertainment from some of the biggest studios like ABC, FX, Hulu, as well as our own local original programming.
The Disney+ team is accountable for the strategy and day-to-day commercial performance and operations of Disney+ across Europe and future market launches across the Middle East and Africa.
This position will be located in Milan with flexible working policies and will specifically focus on leading our content marketing in order to drive awareness and anticipation for our content and our continued growth through customer acquisition and engagement.
We are looking for an experienced marketeer to lead our Disney+ Italy Brand Content Marketing.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our office in Milan.
Reporting to the Vice President, DTC, Italy, this role sits within the Disney+ Leadership Team, alongside peers who head up Growth, Programming and Merchandising, Research, and Creative.
The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for the brand and content marketing and media strategy, as well as campaign management and delivery across Italy.
Key areas of delivery: Own and deliver the Disney+ marketing strategy, with a focus on driving business growth through our marketing.
With a deep understanding of the Italian media landscape, lead a double-digit $mm marketing budget and plan and implement efficient media strategies.
Own and run our Disney+ Italy social media channels.
Drive constant innovation and enable agility in our campaigns.
Drive continuous improvement in our campaign efficiency through a meticulous test-and-learn approach, post-campaign analysis, and creative testing.
Commission and lead long-term media partnerships to deliver an efficient, always-on presence to drive awareness and consideration.
Define our content priorities using a data and customer-led approach, and ensure marketing strategies complement Global and Regional plans.
Lead a seamless campaign planning process, effectively coordinated with our cross-business team including performance, merchandising, and CRM.
Strategic creative leadership: Lead our marketing long-range, annual, and quarterly planning process working with the regional marketing and finance team.
Play a lead role in shaping the market content strategy, working closely with the Programming and Growth teams.
Build cohesive marketing plans with successful creative campaign strategies and outstanding creative, including tailored local market activations that continually set a higher standard of our creative output.
People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talents, instilling high-performance with the motivation in developing others alongside themselves.
Stakeholder management: Collaborate with a matrixed team across the business to ensure plans are comprehensive and well-coordinated, create space for strategic conceptualization and innovation, and build agility into plans to accelerate success.
Inform and influence senior executives across the business.
Take an active role in the Disney+ Leadership team, sharing insight, strategy, and creative.
Experience Required: Extensive experience in similar marketing roles (10+ years).
A deep understanding of the Italian media market, media planning and buying, as well as a consistent record of effective marketing budget management.
Experience driving growth in a subscription business, using marketing levers.
Deep knowledge of the entertainment landscape.
Excellent communication skills both in Italian and English (written, verbal, presentation).
Successful track record working in a complex matrixed international organization.
Experience developing teams and successfully influencing executive-level leadership.
Skills Required: Analytical and KPI-oriented mindset, with an ability to drive decisions using data.
A passion for strategic and creative excellence.
A driver of change who's comfortable representing Disney+ Italy within the EMEA region.
Thrives in an agile working environment with a degree of ambiguity of future plans.
A teammate with strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
