POSITION:
Business Leader EMEA Multiple Daily Injection Solutions (MDIS) - Diabetes Group EMEALOCATION:
Home Office based Careers that Change LivesThe Business Leader MDIS - EMEA is designed to grow and lead our MDIS Business by providing strategic and tactical direction in order to drive both sustainable financial growth and customer satisfaction across EMEA.He/she builds and develops the market position by defining long-term organizational strategic goals, identifying market and business opportunities and maintaining extensive knowledge of current and future market conditions.
The position will provide leadership and collaborate closely across the Diabetes regions within EMEA in order to successfully execute the MDIS strategy on country/cluster level by giving guidance and support to building key relationships with all customer groups and enhance satisfaction through effective sales management practices, development of individual and team skills required by corporate strategic direction and performance expectations.
He/she partners closely with the Global MDIS team in order to align on strategies and execution and act as critical linking function between Global and EMEA teams.
The incumbent will lead establish and maintain leadership in product growth and innovation.
He/She is a member of Advanced Insulin Management team, reports directly to the Theraphy Innovation Senior Director EMEA.
A Day in the Life
- Create differentiated value proposition for the Medtronic diabetes MDIS business to drive product/service adoption, utilization, and customer loyalty.
Define MDIS messages, programs, and support tools for field execution.
Analyze business trends and customer insights to determine new program opportunities and measure impact of existing programs.
- Lead creation of business case and business model for programs that address customer experience, competitive positioning, and product benefits of the MDIS.
Liaise with regional marketing to build business case globally.
Partner with Sales Operations and Finance as well as Business director in the Region to anticipate product utilization and demand forecast, driven by programs.
- Lead marketing efforts for key projects supporting current customers with heavy focus on strategy development and project management.
Ensure product launches are executed properly across the Region.
Business & Market Development
- Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term MDIS business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries.
Maintain strong understanding of competitive landscape and develop sales strategies and programs to respond to evolving market dynamics.
Explores business development opportunities for the MDIS product portfolio.
Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
Represents MDIS EMEA on Global level.
Partners closely with the Global MDIS team to align on strategic goals and execution and to build a strong relationship between MDIS EMEA and Global.
Sales Management
- Assesses need for new selling programs and processes, identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
In collaboration with cluster/country Business Leaders develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
In collaboration with cluster/country Business Leaders gives guidance for developing and maintaining strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
Plans, directs, and monitors the MDIS related activities of the sales teams (field and inside sales) within the EMEA region to achieve established sales targets.
Partners with the rest of the Advanced Insulin Management (AIM) BU and the Non-Intensive Diabetes Therapies (NDT) BU to execute collaborative sales strategies that maximize portfolio potential and ensure strong customer relationships.
Integrative Leadership
- Coordinates with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.
Hire, train, develop, coach, recognize and retain high caliber teams committed to excellence in sales performance, people management, customer care and partner relationship building, using all available resources effectively (i.e., Finance, Sales Leadership, Operations
and HR).
Motivate, lead, and inspire region to perform to their best abilities.
Coaches Sales & Marketing teams on the technical aspects of the MDIS products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
Maintain strong relationships with Connected Care internal teams to ensure alignment of strategic direction and to regularly report success metrics.
Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
