ResponsibilitiesPeraton is currently seeking a talented Senior Logistics Support Advisor to become part of Peraton's U.S. Army Africa Mission Support program working to serve and protect U.S. interests in Africa.
Location: This position will be located in Vicenza, Italy.Remote work/telework is not acceptable/feasible.
Role: The Senior Logistics Support Advisor will provide administrative and technical support to the G4, Operational Contract Support Integration Cell (OCSIC) in developing requirements to support operations and exercises on the African continent.
In this role, you will: Provide logistics and acquisition planning support to the Logistics Operations Division, to include, planning for exercises and contingency operations, planning and developing sustainment support operations for U.S. Army units deployed to the African continent, and develop logistics acquisition processes and procedures for contingency locations.Assist the G4, Operational Contract Support Office in planning acquisition requirements to support steady-state and contingency operations, and exercise support both at SETAF-AF HQ and on the African continent.Serve as an advisor to the Operational Contract Support Integration Cell (OCSIC) during contingency operations and exercises.
Update and distribute the Operational Contract Support Common Operational Picture (OCS COP).Review and provide input to strategic and operational plans, contingency plans, operations orders, executions orders, logistics and acquisition planning support to the Logistics Operations Division (LOD), which includes drafting planning documents for developing sustainment support operations for U.S. Army units deployed to the African continent.
This involves working closely with requirement holders and developing logistics acquisition processes and procedures for steady state SETAF-AF operations both at home station and within the AFRICOM AOR, including contingency locations.Support the customers' requirements development and management process; coordinate directly with stakeholders to assist with acquisition packet development, including, but not limited to, developing performance work statements, market research reports and cost estimating.
Track contract actions through the acquisitions process via the OCS COP highlighting any challenges or recommendations for process improvement.Develop and prepare briefings, correspondence, information papers, charts and staff summaries to be used in updates to customer senior managers.Serve as the knowledge manager for the OCS section with tasks of updating the Share Point page, and maintaining historical records and data bases.
#SETAFQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 8 years of military experience.
Or, a High School diploma and 12 years U.S. Army experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Familiarity with DFAR, AFAR and the contracting process.Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI.
Capable of being qualified in Joint Operational Contract Support Planning and Execution Course (JOPEC) within six months of start date.U.S.
