Support Evotec's global business development/operations functions on all day-to-day legal commercial matters: this may include drafting, negotiating and approving all kinds of commercial agreements (in particular confidentiality agreements, terms and conditions, master service agreements, amendments, novations, assignments and single service agreements, supply agreements, license, collaborations, and consultancy agreements) as well as representing the company in the corresponding negotiations with customers/third parties.
Support operational teams in Italy on legal matters, as necessary.
Key Responsibilities or Core Accountabilities: Review and negotiate agreements related to the research and development activities at Evotec, as assigned.
Prepare and review contract specimen, standard templates and approve contracts and legal agreements in the internal pre-signature approval process.
Problem Solving: provide solutions to daily enquiries of internal stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact for contract questions within Evotec.
Participates and contributes to special projects, as needed.
Skills or attributes: Bachelor's Degree in Law or Economics and a minimum of 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing contracts in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all contractual documents.
Self-starter who is resourceful and able to work effectively both independently as well as with a team.
Motivated and enthusiastic.
Ability to handle complexity of the work under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining highly organized, prioritising and managing multiple tasks, and providing high quality work.
Team player with a proactive and organised approach.
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills both internally with personnel of all levels and externally with clients.
