Job Details Senior Java Backend Software Engineer Location: Rome, Italy
Join our international R&D Team and work on MasterClaw – Anritsu's Service Assurance solution for telecom network services – that enables optimization of the customer experience, understanding of how customers use data services and understanding of the impact problems have on customers.
Our Service Assurance business unit provides solutions and services ensuring that quality communication services are delivered towards 1 billion telecom subscribers. The solution offers unrivalled visibility of network and service performance. This business unit is looking for a new colleague.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Design, coding, test, and release of SW modules in accordance with product development procedures Write input to user documentation for SW Perform corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance of SW modules in accordance with maintenance procedures Answer questions relating to the SW directly or through a trouble ticketing system (EPR). Report to the Group Leader status of system deployment and SW delivery REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must haves:
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability Work experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role Fluent with imperative and object-oriented languages In-depth knowledge of Java with focus on core language features, multithreading, data structures, File IO and Serialization, Memory Management In-depth knowledge of REST/RESTFul service In-depth knowledge HTTP - HTTP/2 protocol Strong knowledge of Unit test methodology, especially JUnit 4 Experience working in an agile environment
Nice to haves:
Angular basic JavaScript basics Experience with source code repositories (Git), build systems (Maven) and Continuous Integration systems Linux basics Experience in product development and user/system requirements Kubernetes, Docker and Cloud native application development
