PositionThe Senior Intellectual Property Counsel will join Loro Piana's Intellectual Property Team, based in Milan and reporting to Associate General Counsel. The role requires sufficient experience to work largely at an independent level, with a highly collaborative approach, in an environment that expects curiosity and an appetite for learning.Working closely with the business, the new joiner will work on a wide variety of business-critical IP issues and will provide strategic and day-to-day support both at a headquarter and regional level.Job ResponsabilitiesHarmonize Intellectual Property strategies worldwide, supporting for the effective clearance, maintenance, development and enforcement of trademarks, designs, copyright and domain names;Build and implement IP registration programs worldwide;Based on global and regional strategies, monitor, conduct and support actions against third party infringers, including preparation of cease-and-desist letters, undertakings and settlement agreements. In a litigation context, assist with preparation of instructions to counsel, collect and present evidence;Ensure compliance with relevant Intellectual Property laws, regulations, and internal policies across the organization, including developing and implementing policies and training programs for employees;Work in partnership with internal business collaborators including product, R&D, marketing, sales and supply chain to identify and mitigate risks;Conduct IP-related research, prepare and present advice, reports and analysis for key partners.With the support of external providers, conduct and analyze trademark and design clearance searches and advice consequently the business;Supervise and object to third party applications, prepare and support oppositions by collating evidence, assisting in/drafting affidavits, witness statements, settlement agreements and related documents. Handle and collaborate with others on multi-territory trademark disputes;Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents including joint development agreements, framework (sales or supply) agreements, Intellectual Property licensing agreements and joint Intellectual Property ownership agreements.ProfileDegree in Law or similar (a specialization in Intellectual Property is a plus);Qualified lawyer with proven track record in Intellectual Property law, preferably with in-house experience;Understanding of local and global Intellectual Property laws and regulations, including patents, designs, trademarks, copyright, and trade secrets;Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines and tasks;Proactive approach and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;Good interpersonal skills;Fluency/proficiency in Italian and English.Additional InformationContractPermanent JobExperienceMinimum 5 yearsTypeFull TimeFunctionLegal
