As the Senior API Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and performant API solutions.
What you'll be doing
As Senior Integration Engineer you:
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable integration platform. Ensure adherence to API design best practices, standards, and principles. Contribute to integration architecture decisions and design discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. Establish and enforce integration development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. Ensure thorough documentation, including specifications, usage guides, and API reference documentation. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices. Optimize solution performance and response times. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to deliver integrated solutions. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Proven experience (5+ years) in integration solutions design and development, with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining integration platforms. Experience with Google cloud platform services as well as Azure. Proficiency in API design standards and integration technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL). Hands-on experience with Event driven architecture and Kafka. Proficiency with legacy integration technologies like MQ, SOAP, DB2, z/OS connect. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python. Experience with API management tools and platforms. Facilitate communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing across teams to drive successful outcomes. Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
Good to have:
