Company Description SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas, and water on an international basis.
Position Adhere to the HSE requirements stipulated by Company/Clients.
Assist in the Instrumentation Engineering activities on projects and tenders under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager.
Coordinate internal and external resources.
Ensure safe, effective, and successful implementation of process engineering activities within budget and schedule requirements.
Good knowledge of process measurements, Relief/control/ESD valves, Analysers, equipment protection systems (Vibration/temperature), fire systems, and PLCs.
Support PID development; help maintain the PIDs through the course of each project phase.
Coordinate with process engineers to obtain process data for use in specifying tagged field instruments.
Shall be capable of handling Instrumentation and control activities for the mechanical packages such as Dehydration, Sweetening, Produced water, Chemical injection, etc.
Shall be capable of handling Control system packages independently.
Review and prepare EI specifications, datasheets, calculations (sizing, load, equipment), Load list, Schematics, functional and interlock diagrams.
Review and prepare Material requisitions, Technical bid evaluations, and review vendor drawings.
Take part in Hazop, SIL, and Design reviews.
Review and when required prepare materials take-offs and bill of materials.
Ensure that changes are documented with approval from the Project Engineering Manager.
Review 2D drawings such as Hook-up drawings, Loop Drawings, Block drawings, JB drawings, Area classification, Cable Schedule, Drum Schedule, Cable routing, Instrument Location drawings, FG Layouts, control room drawings in accordance with Client specifications.
Identify risks and opportunities.
Establish good working relationships.
Interface with Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Vendors for the completion of engineering activities.
Undertake any other general duties that may be requested.
Requirements Minimum a Technical Diploma in Engineering Background with at least 8-10 years of design experience with an engineering consultancy/EPC company working for Industrial plants.
Good experience in 2D 3D Drawings preparation.
Should be fully proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Multi-discipline exposure is required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; should be fluent in English.
