ABOUT THE ROLE
Weatherford Roma, QLD is seeking a fulltime permanent Field Engineers - Wireline / Field Specialist V. Depending on their level of knowledge & experience, the Field Engineer's role applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or jobs for a variety of products and services. Entry and intermediate level roles will receive direct supervision in support of their duties and assignments. Senior and fully qualified level roles will not only provide direction to junior field engineers but will also use their extensive knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and make recommendations to alter development and designs to improve the quality of products and procedures.

QUALITY
- Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System.
- Maintains service quality as an immediate priority when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.
OPERATIONS
- Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and reports any issues promptly.
- Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in safe working conditions.
- Demonstrates knowledge & skills to perform work processes according to their role level experience & competence.
- Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
- Develops and maintains a positive relationship with clients to ensure repeat business.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Field Engineer (Trainee) I - 0 – 1 year in Oil & Gas.
- Field Engineer II (Field Engineer) - 1 – 2 ½ years in Oil & Gas.
- Field Engineer III (Senior Field Engineer) - 2 ½ - 4 years in Oil & Gas.
- Field Engineer IV (General Field Engineer) - 4 - 6 years in Oil & Gas.
- Field Specialist III (Senior Field Specialist) - 4 - 6 years in Oil & Gas.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science as a minimum.
KNOWLEDGE
- Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics.
- Mathematics and Basic Physics and Chemistry.
SKILLS
- Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving.
- Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making.
ABILITIES
- Physically capable to undertake the tasks required to perform the role.
- Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
MOBILISATION REQUIREMENTS
- Work Schedule: May Include Rotational and/or Shift Work.
- Travel Time: 40-50%.
- Requires International Mobility: Yes.
