We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities to join our growing Science, Industry and Technology Building Services Engineering team in Milan.
Our Engineers work in an interdisciplinary environment aiming to design buildings that maximise value for our clients while minimising their environmental impact.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
Act as a key part of the Building Services Engineering Senior Team, managing multidisciplinary projects while providing technical guidance and mentoring to the other engineers. Act as senior engineer in managing the service and in having a direct interface with the clients' team. Liaise with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the electrical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the electrical requirements and the electrical discipline's influence on all others. Design electrical systems including emergency systems, back-up power, lightning protection system, small power, earthing system, ICT and building automation and controls systems, Photovoltaic, Safety and Security Systems. Sound knowledge in electrical engineering fundamentals. Bachelor/Master's Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering. Experience with Data Centre and/or Industrial buildings projects. At least 7 years' experience in the design of electrical systems. Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit with knowledge of parametric design is beneficial. Knowledge of both English and Italian, written and spoken. Good communication skills essential for team-based working. Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment. Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges. Why Arup?
