At XTEL, we are on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic product development team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both software development and operations, with a particular emphasis on automating and enhancing the development, deployment, and monitoring processes for our SaaS solutions.
In this role, the Senior DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in designing and implementing comprehensive automation processes aimed at improving the scalability and cost efficiency of the XTEL solution. This involves not only creating robust automation frameworks but also continuously refining these processes to ensure optimal performance and cost control.
Furthermore, the Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with our CloudOps team to conduct thorough analyses of our current deployment strategies. This collaboration will focus on identifying areas for improvement and potential risks associated with product deployment. By leveraging their expertise, the Senior DevOps Engineer will help to mitigate these risks and enhance the overall reliability and efficiency of our deployment processes.
Our Senior DevOps Engineer will: Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure well-architected, highly available, resilient, maintainable systems in order to support our business growth model, in particular: Automation, Monitoring, Continuous Integration, and Delivery. Automate the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based applications. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient code releases. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the infrastructure for better performance and cost-efficiency. Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure and applications. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Work closely with developers to ensure best practices for software development and deployment are followed. Maintain documentation including server build docs, configuration standards, infrastructure architecture. A great candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in a technical/STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field or equivalent work experience. Deep understanding of various DevOps tools for developing digital pipelines. Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for computing environments Capability of specifying, designing, and/or implementing system health, performance monitoring tools. Knowledge of Azure cloud platform, Azure DevOps, AWS, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Microsoft IIS servers. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle DBMS. Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt Creative thinking attitude with a strong customer focus. Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS and understanding of all layers of a web services technology stack. Solid technical troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to partner with internal Customer teams to drive improvements and drive goals and prioritization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices architecture. Knowledge of database management and optimization. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Fluent English and eligibility to work in Italy without sponsorship.
