Senior Conservation Architect & Project Manager POSITION: Senior Conservation Architect & Project Manager Location: Rome Headquarters and Abu Dhabi DURATION: Minimum two years, with potential for permanent employment after a 4-month trial period. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Job Description: Conservation Expert: - Lead conservation expert and project manager for heritage projects in Abu Dhabi Project Management: - Oversee technical and administrative management of assignments, including expert coordination, output revision, and integration - Monitor budget, resources, and schedules; manage administrative tasks - Liaise with Contracting Authorities and stakeholders - Organize field missions and provide support to international experts Business Development: - Develop proposals for international tenders (EU, WB, UNESCO, CCG) focusing on cultural heritage conservation, architecture, master planning, and urban planning for international donors, particularly in developing and emerging countries - Identify and build collaborations with partners and experts, and prepare technical methodologies for tenders QUALIFICATION: Education: - Master's Degree in Architecture/Conservation with a specialization in the conservation of cultural heritage. Qualifications: - Minimum 10 years of experience as a Conservation Architect, with at least 5 years of international experience - Proven project management skills, leading teams and client interactions - Expertise in heritage assessment, master planning, concept and detailed design, preparation of tender documents, and works supervision - Experience in the Middle East, particularly the Gulf countries, is advantageous - Excellent report writing and structuring skills - Eager to work in international contexts, including developing countries, and undertake long and short missions abroad - Proficient in computer and software use: Windows Office, Primavera, Microsoft Project, 2D/3D AUTOCAD, Rendering software, Photoshop, etc. - Fluent in written and spoken English. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with a passion for heritage conservation and consulting - Highly flexible, hard-working, and capable of working under stress - Excellent time management, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills - Possession of an international driving license and willingness to drive in project countries WORK LANGUAGE: English and Italian are required.
