The role is advertised as full time, and we can offer flexible working arrangements such as hybrid work up to 80% of the working time, flexibility in the working hours and other alternative working patterns.
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Advisor in Customs Operations who will be responsible for ensuring that the company's customs operations comply with legal and internal standards, minimizing risks, aligning with strategic goals, and managing related projects efficiently.
They need to have a strong background in customs to perform these tasks effectively.
Main job responsibilities: Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring implementation in the organization.
Participate and carry out external and internal audits.
Support the Customs Delivery organization as a subject matter expert.
Work with risk management and report deviations.
Support the Country Compliance Managers in the Area.
Initiating and/or attending meetings with customers and authorities.
Monitor and follow up on customs claims on a country level.
Communication with authorities.
Participate/lead in certifications/audits of quality assurance programs (AEO, ISO, etc.)
Support the Customs Transit Process.
Ensure that relevant permits and guarantees are in place and complied with in each country.
Assist the organization with the adaptation and implementation of internal procedures.
What we are looking for: Speaks fluent English and is mother tongue in one of the following languages: Italian, Croatian, Slovenian, Greek, Czech.
Can work as an individual as well as in teams.
Can prioritize tasks and multitask at the same time.
Has excellent knowledge of customs and VAT legislation, regulations and customs developments.
Is preferably a licensed Customs broker.
