Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.We are looking for a civil structural engineer to join our Genoa team to work on our major multidisciplinary detailed design projects.As well as contributing to these new and existing projects, this position will play an active role in improving our project management processes and approach, driving both delivery excellence and efficiency in our business.You will work with our team of engineers, technicians and draftsmen to deliver our work to specified standards and project schedule, while following our project governance.As part of your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for analysing project documents, detail design of concrete structure, bar bending checks, detail design steel structure including connection details, 3D model review, design review, and client liaison.You are expected to design in accordance with the applicable codes standards (European and international), prepare input for draftsman, examine, mark-up and align documentation and drawings.Currently we are developing projects in Thermal Nuclear sectors, Wind and Solar, BESS, hydropower and our involvement is also in other sectors like Metros (UK Canada), railways (UK), etc.
providing a wide range of services to owners, contractors and developers, including feasibility, planning, detailed design, owner's engineering and site supervision.Responsibilities:Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering with a very good understanding of power generation projects and the complete design lifecycle.Ability to apply Value Engineering practices to optimize project time and costs and familiarity with several international codes.Proven experience with reinforced concrete and rebar and steel structure detail design in international projects.Proficient in the use of FEM software (e.g.
Staad, Sap2000, GT Strudl) and possibly Tekla structure and Aveva E3D software.High level of oral and written English is expected; Italian and any other languages being a plus.Proven experience as team leader/coordinator is considered a plus, since you could be requested to coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion.Availability to travel overseas in relation to project work is expected.We are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
