The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. They are analysis experts who leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.
The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a passion for delivering actionable business insights. We seek individuals who excel in communication, are self-motivated, adaptable, and possess strong prioritization abilities. Candidates with experience working closely with business teams are preferred, as this role combines business analytics with strategic thought partnership alongside the category leader.
The breadth and depth of experience gained in the Senior Business Analyst role will equip a candidate to rotate into other roles across Amazon on their path to become among Amazon future leaders.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesRetrieving and analyzing large sets of data using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems.Designing and implementing reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.Maintaining category's ongoing reviews: own category's weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews via establishing tracking mechanisms to enable the team to track their progress while recommending the best course of action to grow/recover.Defining category's growth opportunities: Work closely with Category Leader and account managers on planning and business strategy, drive best-in-class customer experience and maximize Selling partners selection and sales growth through timely analysis and initiatives.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Well-versed in writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using advanced Excel, QuickSight dashboard, and visual creation
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to interpret large amounts of data and make sound business judgments and recommendations
- Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Ability to write compelling written business proposals and recommendations for senior audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguous problems
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
- Operates as a team player and has a positive attitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MBA or related Master's preferred
- Excellent analytical and data-mining aptitude
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
