The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Architect to join our community of Architects in a mission to Shape a Better World.
Arup Architecture is a team of 30 Architects based in Milan – we are part of Arup's global studio of 250 Architects.
Our ambition is to deliver buildings which are simple, purposeful, efficient and beautiful.
Our team enjoys unparalleled access to Arup's world-class specialists together with cutting edge hardware and software which together allow us to take on the most challenging projects for our clients.
As a Senior Architect in our team, you will be part of the delivery of significant and complex projects in the Science and Industry and Technology sectors with a focus on Data Centre design, working as part of large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable 'Total Architecture' on an international scale.
We are looking for a talented designer who is ambitious and curious with excellent personal, written and graphic communication skills able to coordinate and lead multidisciplinary projects in all design phases.
Candidates with working experience in Data Center or Industrial Projects are highly preferential.
As an Architect at Arup, you will: Act as project lead architect in managing the service and in having a direct interface with the clients' team.
Liaise with the clients to assist in setting the design ambitions and with the project stakeholders to develop the design and the coordination of the architectural requirements and their impact on the project.
Manage and coordinate the architectural project team.
Work in a project team in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Contribute to the successful delivery of projects under the supervision of the project leaders.
Collaborate with other disciplines to produce fully coordinated project information including BIM models, drawings, schedules and specifications.
Does this role inspire you?
We will require a portfolio to be submitted along with any application, along with a description of specific project contributions.
We also value: Laurea in Architettura or Master in architecture or equivalent.
Demonstrates design flair with both creative and analytical skills, 3d thinking and ability to draw by hand alongside knowledge of relevant design and visualisation software applications.
Highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new skills in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
Good knowledge of Revit and BIM environment.
Demonstrable interest in sustainability and climate change resilience.
Knowledge and experience in building permit procedures in Italy.
