We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Accounting Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimization of financial processes. The Accounting Specialist will report directly to the Chief Accountant and collaborate strictly with Her/Him to drive financial excellence and contribute to the success of our organization.
Collaborate with external teams in Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable in connection with month-end closing activities and support in each area resolution of specific topics. Oversee specific areas like Fiscal and legal Credit Collection operations in connection with external advisors to ensure correctness, proper documentation, and becoming the point of contact within the Italian organization to support business initiatives in specific fiscal matters. Treasury management and cash flow forecasting are also part of the main responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Review and approve journal entries in connection with external teams R2R, reconciliations, and other month-end activities related to specific areas of responsibility. Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts on a weekly or monthly basis, driving actions when necessary. Monitor and analyze accounts receivable and payable aging, driving external teams in reconciliations, collection strategies, planning of payments, resolution of disputes. Support balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Support robust internal control processes to safeguard company assets. Support in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements coordinating with external tax advisors, implementing where necessary, adjustments related to tax regulations in strict connection with Chief Accountant. Coordinate and manage for accurate and timely filing of the different tax returns in the market (VAT, LIPE, Intrastat, plastic tax....) in connection with tax advisors. Support in preparation of Internal and External audit (Statutory Auditors, KPMG, Internal control) providing necessary documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization within the finance team. Share and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Proven experience in a senior accountant role working with transversal teams and external services. Robust knowledge of local accounting principles and IFRS GAAP, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational tax regulations in the market (VAT deductibility, special rules on main non-deductible categories...). Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP, and Microsoft Excel. Good level in English is required.
