For our client, group operating in the Energy sector, we are looking for a:Senior AccountantThe candidate will be responsible for the civil and tax accounting activities of the holding company and its subsidiaries.
He/she will deal with external consultants (tax and labour consultant) and banks, keep the accounting updated and provide internal accounting data to analysts and controllers with regards to accounting closures, carry out all the accounting and tax obligations relating to the budget.Your will be primarily involved in:• Perform accounting duties independently: • Manage accounts receivable, following up on invoices when necessary • Liaise with the accounts payable • Travel expense: management of company cards, control and archiving of employee expense reports • Payroll booking • Bank registration and reconciliation • Manage of Fixed Assets: additions, disposal and monthly/annual depreciation • General Ledger accounts reconciliations • Support with budget reconciliation and financial forecasts • Support month-end and year-end close process • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data • Help uphold the integrity of the company's finances • Ensure that the company adheres to applicable local and national regulations that impact finances • Examine financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance • Inspect and update all documentation and systems related to accounting and company finances • Help establish company best practices related to accounting • Suggest thoughtful, scalable approaches to reducing costs, streamlining processes, and improving margin.To apply in this role the candidates should have:• Knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices • Knowledge periodic VAT settlement, calculation of withholding taxes and preparation of the relevant F24 forms for payment); • Ability to use the most popular accounting packages on the market and the use of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level; • Experience in the use of advanced accounting software, ideally Pantera; • Experience with office productivity applications, with a strong attitude for learning new systems and approaches • Interest in renewables, green technology and a transition to a low carbon economy #LI-NM2Wyser (Aut.
