Senior Accountant Latch is looking for an extraordinarily talented Senior Accountant to join our global finance organization to support the accounting function. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and partner closely with various members across the entire organization. Responsibilities : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation. Oversee accrual accounting processes and ensure timely and accurate recognition of expenses. Manage operational expenditures (OPEX) and ensure accurate recording and reporting of expenses. Monitor and manage prepaid expenses, including reconciliations and amortization schedules. Coordinate and execute the capitalization of software costs in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Lead and manage balance sheet control processes, including account reconciliations and analysis. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assisting with audit inquiries, and assist the team for both financial and statutory audits. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function. Enhance overall control environment and ensure SOX compliance and business adherence to control processes. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. Experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on OPEX management and balance sheet control. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles. Experience with inventory (highly preferred), software capitalization and / or other asset management processes preferred. Inventory accounting experience is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and NetSuite accounting software desired. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
