You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVAL FAC ENGR CMD EUROPE SW ASIA.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Establish security policies and procedures and monitor adherence by all elements of the organization; Develop and implement internal security procedures to ensure proper handling and safeguarding of classified material; Acquire knowledge using Personnel Security Programs and databases to initiate, review and process Personnel Security Investigations and security clearance; Analyze security training needs and administer effective Security Program Training to all levels of employees; Evaluate security problems and/or threats and recommend preventative measures to senior management. Possess reasonable understanding of all DoD criteria, requirements, and standards related to security practices to manage complex security problems; Brief senior leadership on complex security issues and potential corrective action to implement; Use Security Programs to query, enter data and report adverse personnel clearance information; Ensure all prospective/current employees are cleared for access to sensitive data.
