Overview Kemin Nutrisurance Europe is looking for Scientist who is responsible for being the technical lead on multiple cross-functional teams, performing literature reviews, and incorporating them into research strategies. Perform GC-MS analysis necessary to move forward the R&D projects. Manage and mentor direct reports to reach goals. Manage the daily activities of the R&D laboratory and pilot plant. Review and approve SOPs, research protocols, and research methods. Responsible for performing literature reviews and incorporating them into research strategies. Independently perform advanced statistical data analysis and review others' data. Prepare and present research reports in multiple formats for both internal and external audiences. Must adhere to laboratory standard operating procedures, documentation, and guidelines. Participate in strategic planning and customer meetings. Qualifications Education and experience: Bachelor's, master's degree or phD in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Biotechnology. 5 years of experience in R&D department with palatant, protein, functional ingredients, or industrial food. Experience in manufacturing is a plus. Written and verbal communication in English & Italian is required. Requirements: Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy. Good GC-MS knowledge. Detail-oriented, organized, prioritization skills, and motivated by accomplishment. Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
