We are looking for a Scientific Research Assistant in the area of Plant Health.

Responsabilit support data collection for climate suitability and quantitative pest risk assessment for new and emerging plant pests, drafting, editing and publishing scientific outputs, run queries and perform searches in databases, prepare summary data tables, support to the Working Group and panel, including documents management and drafting and publishing minutes, according to the relevant procedures.
Functie-eisen Excellent knowledge of English (at least B2 level), Knowledge of plant health including at least one of the following fields: plant pathology, plant disease epidemiology, plant bacteriology, plant nematology, entomology, acarology, crop protection, biological control, integrated pest management, At least 6 months of working experience in collecting and collating evidence, writing and reviewing scientific documents, analyzing and interpreting data with statistics, Familiarity with EU plant health law would be considered an asset, Good knowledge of IT tools, including MS ppt, Excel, Word, Behavioural competencies: self-starter, willing to learn and contribute, engaged, able to work independently and drive tasks to completion, team player, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Assignment: initial contract of 4 months, with possibility of extensions.
Salary: approx €2145 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week.
Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.
