We are looking for a Satellite Verification & Validation Manager on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Milan, Italy. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). You will join a team of system engineers, bringing your experience in leading and driving the satellite activities along the whole project lifecycle, including design, development, integration, verification, launch and in-orbit operations.
As a V&V manager, you will drive all the activities relevant with the specification, verification and validation of the project, while respecting the satellite schedule and budget.
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Tasks and Responsibilities: Lead the verification and validation of small satellites; Coordination, monitoring and ensuring the timely implementation of all relevant V&V activities; Contribution to preparation of Design, Development and Verification Plans; Confident handling of development processes (e.g., V-model); Definition and management of Model Philosophy and HW matrix; Management of the requirement specification process, from customer to equipment level; Contribution to definition of verification methods and stages; Contribution to the definition of the testing infrastructure (e.g., Flatsat, SCOEs etc.); Support satellite verification and AIT activities; Preparation and execution of system and acceptance tests with customers; Evaluation and logging of test results as well as the documentation of deviations. Minimum Requirements: University degree (Master/PhD) or equivalent education plus relevant proven work experience in industry; At least 5 years of hands-on working experience; Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, including requirements engineering, functional analysis, verification control; Experience in satellite verification, including participation to AIT campaigns; Requirements management tools (Doors, etc.); Model Based System Engineering; Concurrent engineering tools (Confluence, Jira, etc.); Excellent sense of responsibility; Structured hands-on work-approach; Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously; Good interpersonal skills; Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Italian language skills are an asset.
