Satellite System Operations & Logistic Engineer (M/F) REF.ILS&OPS_2024 Tasks: Define the technical and operational staff in terms of organization and assignment of roles and responsibilities of the personnel required to maintain and operate the system throughout the different phases of its lifetime. Define the training plan and the training tools in terms of scope, topics to be covered, number of sessions, duration, and schedule to train the operations staff. Specify the operations engineering process in terms of operation tasks and allocation to the identified operation roles and responsibilities, required to operate and maintain the system during all operational phases. Identify the requirements and provide the design for the infrastructure, including the facility, the offices, and the IT hardware to provide an effective, efficient, and safe environment for system operations. Specify ground (GOP) and flight (FOP) procedures for both routine and contingency operations in terms of validated workflow step-by-step, along with the required initial conditions, actions to be taken, expected responses, timing conditions and explanatory comments. Prepare and conduct the operational validation (SOV) to ensure that the Ground Segment as a whole, including the operations personnel, is capable to carry out the mission. Define the operation support tools (e.g., tools for tracking the sequence of events, links to documentation, shift plan, list of procedures, tools for anomaly tracking) to make the operation of the system as robust as possible. Provide the maintenance of the spare parts with the purpose of finding a cost-effective stock provisioning, allocation, and management system. Provide the Logistic Support Plan to identify the available or shared resources that can be deployed in support of the mission and those that are procured for the mission. Carry out the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) analysis as a logistic support technique to measure the availability of the system and reducing its life cost. Carry out the Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality (FMECA) analysis to determine the effects of potential failure on equipment and system performance. Define the resources, procedures, design considerations and methods necessary to ensure that all Ground Segment product and support items are packaged, handled, stored, and transported (PHST) properly and in conformance with appropriate legislation. Qualifications: University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering. Experience in the specification of Concept of Operations (ConOps) and Operation Concepts of Earth Observation satellite systems. Specification of system and operational concepts.
