This position reports to Sales Support Manager
Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specifications or requirements to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the Company.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations.
Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Managing the preparation of all technical, financial, and project management aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation.
Ensuring that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
Collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer/order and recording assumptions and decisions taken during the development process.
Regularly reporting the status of the bids/estimates/quotations and analyzing the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations, and estimates, and participating in the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy.
Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and collaborating with Supply Chain Management.
Qualifications for the role You are skilled in the industrial automation sector with a specific background in process analytical systems.
You have 5 or more years of experience in a similar role and managing projects involving analytical systems.
You are passionate about customer orientation and enjoy working in a team.
Degree in Environmental, Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry.
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
Availability for short-medium term travel (from 1 day to 2-3 weeks) within the national territory and abroad.
