Our client is a Japanese company, active worldwide and searching for a Sales Manager for Polymers and Additives to enter their European division within the Italian branch.
The ideal candidate has the following requirements:
Ideal profile:
1. Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Sciences or other similar degrees;
2. 3/5-year experience in international companies within the chemical industry, operating in production and distribution of polymers throughout Italy;
3. Good technical knowledge of the chemical industry, materials and tools;
4. Empathy, capability to establish constructive relationships with business partners
5. Excellent knowledge of sales techniques and strong negotiation skills;
6. Highly proactive, focused and goal-oriented; Strong team player but still a self-starter;
7. Capable of working in a multicultural environment and endowed with cross- cultural sensitivity;
8. Entrepreneurial attitude, desire of professional growth together with the company's development; passion for his own work; strong orientation to customers and to outcomes;
9. PC literate (MS Office, and specifically Excel);
10. Fluent both in Italian and English;
11. Availability to travel nationally and internationally about 50% of the time.
The chosen candidate will autonomously perform the following activities:
Reach country sales and profit margin targets;
Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close sales;
Manage and optimize current business accounts, explore new markets and identify and deliver new business opportunities;
Develop and implement performance tracking metrics to track, control and support all sales, business development and customer service activities.
Correspond with suppliers and buyers and respond to inquiries; site visits and participation in local fairs/ exhibitions;
Report monthly sales execution to the management;
Report on market trends in the country.
Availability: ASAP
Workplace: Milan, with availability to travel. Company car in pooling.
Indicative allocation and salary: full time employment contract; Gross salary depending on the experience and the capability (approximately 50/60.000 plus yearly bonus)
