About Villa La Massa

Sitting on the banks of the Arno river, in the heart of the Chianti wine region, Villa La Massa is located a few kilometers from Florence's city center. Built in the 13th century as an enchanting country house for an aristocratic Florentine family, it was owned by European aristocrats until 1948, before it was transformed into a luxury hotel.

Villa La Massa welcomes today 51 rooms and three private residences, each distinct and uniquely designed; an elegant restaurant, Il Verrocchio, with its magnificent terrace overlooking the Arno river, L'Oliveto Bistrot, with a more informal atmosphere and the Medicean Bar, with its 19th-century frescos, a Spa and a curated selection of activities and experiences to embrace the quintessence of Tuscany lifestyle.

Sales & Events Manager:
Position Summary

As a Sales and Events Manager you will be responsible for selling in a reactive way and managing groups and events program at Villa La Massa. In some circumstances you will be involved in proactive sales actions too.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about luxury hospitality and events, motivated, dynamic and independent, has a strategic and proactive focus to excellence and is driven by results achievement. With excellent social and negotiation skills, shows a deep understanding of the luxury market and nurtures relationships with both clients and colleagues to maximize revenue.

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Become an Ambassador of Villa La Massa and Villa d'Este Group, with a deep understanding of its heritage, values and operationsNurture the relationship with all potential clients and guests showing an authentic interest in preferences to ensure a personalized approach to suggestions and enquiresRespond quickly and efficiently to in-coming sales enquiries, by telephone and email with tailor-made proposals and to follow up all enquires with purpose and personalized touchPromotion of our facilities to new and existing clients through a pro-active approachMaintain and develop contact with trade and potential clients through attendance at local networking and promotional eventsMaintain an organized events information and an efficient coordination with all team members to ensure the highest level of serviceConduct site inspections with clients and agents and plan and attend familiarization tripsAttend industry and company sales events when relevantSupport the Group Events team in the planning and coordination of all groups and events and client inspections and entertainmentWork closely with the proactive sales team to maximize leads conversionUse the property CRM system to manage accounts, leads and sales activities following property guidanceContribute to the strategy and planning of the events functionProactively drive business by thinking creatively, developing and designing new strategies, ideas and relationshipsIdentify new business opportunities based on market and trends knowledge, clients' feedback and awareness of comp set activitiesEnsure the highest level of confidentiality protecting guests privacy and informationEstablish, maintain and nurture effective relationships with guests, colleagues and outside contractorsDisplay the highest level of professionalism and create a sense of experience Job Requirements Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in luxury hotels in a similar positionExceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsHigh level of hospitality and professionalismStrong written and spoken Italian and EnglishLegal right to work in Italy Our Benefits for You New Leader Introductory ProgramLearning and development opportunitiesEmployee engagement and recognition events and activitiesCanteen service by Villa La Massa culinary teamComplimentary laundry for business cloth itemsEmployee rates in Villa d'Este Group Hotels, Gift Shop and F&B and Spa experiences
