As a Chemist, you will develop, industrialize, maintain and support manufacturing activities for the Collision, Commercial Transportation and Light Industrial Coatings product lines required to meet customer needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work on the development of advanced materials and formulations for use in the industrial and commercial sectors (such as yachting section).
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to test performances of putty, adhesive, composite and coating materials.
- Connect with suppliers and learn about their latest market innovations.
- Build and share composite and coatings knowledge.
- Analyze and interpret the experimental results obtained.
- Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal reports.
- Collaborate with various colleagues and functions within all PPG business units and external parties (e.g., marketing, other areas of R&D, suppliers/customers).
- Ensure compliance with regional EU and national quality standards and safety standards.
- Support the country/regional sales force in developing valuable products in a timely manner and providing customer specific paint system information/test results.
**Qualifications**
- Broad knowledge and significant experience in putty, adhesive, composite and/or yachting industry (prior experience in similar industries is an advantage).
- Nice to have university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to work independent as well as in a team.
- Proactive approach.
- Proven experience in R&D Lab.
- Able to work optimally with all levels of sales, marketing, management, customers.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple activities.
- Good written and speaking English proficiencies.
- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills as well as leadership experience
- Good computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft
- and other software).
- Presentation skills.
